STRCASECMP

NAME

strcasecmp - Case-insensitive string comparison.

SYNOPSIS

strcasecmp(str1,str2)

PARAMETERS

str1
The first string
str2
The second string

RETURN

Returns < 0 if the number of characters in str1 is less than str2; > 0 if str1 is greater than str2, and 0 if they are equal.

EXAMPLES

in:  res=<{strcasecmp("ONE SAMPLE","one SAMPLE")}>.
out: res=0.

in:  res=<{strcasecmp("ONE SAMPLE",2)}>.
out: res=61.

in:  res=<{strcasecmp(2,"ONE SAMPLE")}>.
out: res=-61.
